KISI youth project nurtures and builds the capacities of young people, and helps them identify and use their talents for the benefit of their community. KISI strives to give young people a voice within their community. Because there is no universal definition of a youth, KISI youth programs welcome productive, creative community members of any age to participate.
Establishment of a VCT in our resource center

Objective
KISI intends to contribute in scale-up and enhance HIV counseling and testing utilization in a youth friendly approach to improve behavior change and formation for newly wedded couples and access to effective prevention of further transmission, care and support of youths infected or affected by HIV and AIDS.
Program services
• Education and mobilizations on HIV& AIDS and sexual health information.
• Provision of VCT services.
• Enhancing and capacity building the youth group members through technical advice (trainings on Entrepreneurial skills).
• Steer-head formation of Post test clubs.
• Support groups to offers psycho-social support to HIV positives youths.
• Provides recreational facilities for the youths (indoor games, Cyber and library).
Services.
KISI youth friendly VCT services will be based in Nyeri town and later expanded to the surroundings amongst those are in areas considered as hard to reach areas including Arid and Semi-Arid Land (Kieni Division and Laikipia). more
